We managed to get the car without incident (finally - our last few car-renting endeavors have been eventful) and headed out. Like to the outlet malls, just in case there was stuff there we hadn't bought. We also stopped by Target for supplies for Lindley and Everley, who would be arriving later. We then headed to the Polynesian Village Resort, which would be our new home for the next week. We got checked in, but of course our rooms weren't ready. We accomplished all of these activities in time for our early afternoon reservation at Le Cellier at Epcot, where of course we had poutine (Molly devoured hers - mine was a bit spicy). Anyhow, at some point, we got the call that our rooms were ready, so we headed back to the hotel.
When we made the reservation for the Poly, we knew that there would be construction going on. But I was not prepared for vacationing in a construction zone. While it wasn't loud, the presence of fencing and dirt and construction workers certainly reminded us that the resort was undergoing some major changes.
Anyhow, Steve was finishing up his golf tournament volunteer duty and then headed to the airport to pick up Aunt Judy, who was joining us for a few Disney days. They got to the hotel, we ate dinner, and waited for Lynnette, Lindley, Maribeth, and Everley to arrive via Magical Express. They did, and Lynnette arrived feeling horrible with a cold. That was convenient so that everyone could get to bed early. After all, tomorrow is Animal Kingdom!
