Meet Rambo

This is my new grand-dog, Rambo. He was adopted by Molly at the County Dog Pound last week. He is two years old and a sweet dog.

Last Thursday afternoon and most of this morning, I threaded chicken wire around the bottom of the chain link fence in Molly's back yard. I did this so Rambo would not find the gaps and decide to take a tour of the neighborhood. It was tedious and at times painful (thanks to the wire, the thorns, and the old lady knees), but I got it done. Now all we have to do is wait to see if Rambo finds another hole that we didn't remedy.

I guess that's what we grands do - whatever is needed for the safety and happiness of those we call our grands - dogs, cats, and children.

And in the end, it's nothing compared to the blessings we get back from them!
